Miss World Mexico highlights the importance of expanding access to treatment for children born with cleft lip and palate.

Miss World Mexico Cassandra Garcia Olea recently visited a specialized medical center where she witnessed her first cleft lip and palate surgery, describing the experience as a defining moment in her Beauty With a Purpose journey.

During the visit, Garcia Olea observed a surgical procedure performed on a young patient named Jonathan. While the operation lasted a few hours, she said its impact would last a lifetime, giving the child renewed confidence and new opportunities for the future.

The experience reinforced her commitment to raising awareness about children born with cleft lip and palate and the importance of ensuring that life changing reconstructive surgeries are accessible to families who need them most.

Garcia Olea also praised the medical professionals and volunteers involved in the initiative, recognizing their dedication to improving children’s lives through specialized care and compassion.

She thanked Centro SUMA Labio y Paladar Hendido and Fundación MAC for the opportunity to witness the procedure and learn more about their work supporting children with cleft conditions.

Miss World Mexico prepares for the 75th Anniversary of Miss World in Vietnam, continuing to promote the values of Beauty With a Purpose by highlighting projects that improve health, restore confidence, and create brighter futures for children and their families.
