The 23-year-old model will become the first-ever representative of the Maldives at the Miss World Festival, this year to be held in Vietnam.

Mariyam Eema Mohamed was crowned Miss World Maldives 2026 on August 3, becoming the first woman to represent the Maldives at the Miss World Festival.

The 23-year-old, who is also known as Nov, is an experienced runway and print model. Her selection opens a new chapter for the Maldives in international pageantry, as the country prepares to make its long-awaited debut at Miss World.

While the Maldives co-hosted the 50th Miss World Festival in 2000 alongside London, it has never before had an official contestant competing for the Miss World title. Mariyam’s crowning changes that, making her the nation’s inaugural Miss World representative.

Known worldwide for its crystal-clear waters, white-sand beaches, and more than 1,000 coral islands scattered across the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is one of the world’s most renowned tropical destinations.

Mariyam will represent the Maldives at the 75th Anniversary Miss World Festival, taking place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5.
