The reigning Miss World Indonesia, Audrey Bianca, has expanded her Beauty With a Purpose project following a visit to Letepalolo Village in Southwest Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara.

Home to around 310 residents, Letepalolo has long faced limited access to electricity, affecting daily life and education. During her visit, Audrey observed children studying by candlelight and communities relying on traditional livelihoods without basic infrastructure.

Motivated by these conditions, Audrey launched a campaign to bring sustainable energy to the village. Her project includes the construction of a solar-powered community hall, designed as a learning and gathering centre, and the installation of lighting systems in 38 homes. A broader solar energy system is also being implemented to provide a self-sufficient power source for the village.

In addition, training programs in maintenance and management are being introduced to ensure the long-term sustainability of the initiative.

Audrey is continuing to raise support for the project, emphasizing its impact on education and quality of life. “This is about bringing the first light to a village so children can learn longer, families can live more securely, and the future is no longer limited by the darkness of night,” she said.

The project forms part of her Beauty With a Purpose campaign for Miss World 2026.

Audrey will represent Indonesia in Vietnam, August 9 to September 5, where the 75th Anniversary Edition of Miss World will be held.
