It is The Three Kings’ Day, a traditional celebration observed in countries and territories such as Gibraltar, Spain, France, Puerto Rico, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and other parts of Latin America and Europe. Marking the Christian feast of Epiphany, the day commemorates the visit of the Three Wise Men to the infant Jesus and is celebrated through parades, family gatherings and cultural traditions.

Miss World Gibraltar Julia Horne, for instance, took part in Gibraltar’s traditional Three Kings Cavalcade, one of the territory’s most cherished cultural celebrations, in which decorated floats from community groups, schools, and clubs parade down Main Street from Casemates Square, bringing vibrant New Year celebrations with music, costumes, and sweets for thousands of spectators, with winners announced in junior and senior categories for their creative displays.

The annual event, attended by families, community groups and local dignitaries, brings together residents from across Gibraltar. 

Julia Horne had the opportunity to connect directly with the local community, celebrate Gibraltar’s traditions, being part of a warm and inclusive setting. Her involvement was warmly received by the public, as she’s known for being accessible and engaged with local celebrations and social causes.

The appearance forms part of Miss World Gibraltar’s ongoing commitment to representing Gibraltar through cultural, charitable and public initiatives, strengthening the connection between the Miss World platform and local communities.
