Ventana a Quisqueya, the TV Show co-produced by Miss World Dominicana received two nominations for the 69th New York Emmy Awards.

Mayra Delgado, Miss World Dominican Republic 2025 and a Top 40 semifinalist at the 72nd Miss World Festival and the Miss World Dominican team, celebrated a major broadcasting achievement after the weekly segment “Ventana a Quisqueya,” produced for Noticias N+ Univision 41 New York by Univision 41 in partnership with Miss World Dominican Republic, with Mayra serving as a reporter and correspondent, received two nominations at the 69th New York Emmy Awards. Delgado served as the program’s official correspondent from the Dominican Republic, showcasing the country’s culture, history, tourism, and people to Hispanic audiences across the United States. The nominations recognize the program in the Arts & Entertainment – News & Content (Spanish) and Historical/Cultural News (Spanish) categories, the latter for a special report on the Mirabal Sisters.

Mayra Delgado represented the Dominican Republic at the 72nd Miss World Festival in 2025, where she advanced to the Top 40 and won the Multimedia Award for the Americas & Caribbean, demonstrating her strength in digital storytelling and communication.

“We have been nominated for the 2026 Emmy Awards!” she shared.

“When I received that call from Diana with the news, I simply couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t stop thinking about everything it took to get here. Our work on Ventana a Quisqueya has been nominated in two categories at the 69th Annual New York Emmy Awards. These nominations represent the confirmation that telling the stories that shape our identity as Dominicans is truly worthwhile.”

Having the opportunity to work as a Univision 41 correspondent is one of the prizes Miss World Dominican Republic winners earn upon winning the national title.
