Newly crowned titleholder fulfills childhood dream at the Desfile das Campeãs 2026.

Less than a month after winning the national title, Gabriela Botelho, the new Miss World Brazil experienced one of the most iconic cultural celebrations in the world by attending Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival Parade up close. Invited by Camarote N1, Gabriela enjoyed a privileged view right beside the parade runway during the Desfile das Campeãs 2026 (The Champions’ Parade), witnessing the samba schools’ performances for the very first time.

Deeply moved by the spectacle, Gabriela described the moment as the realization of a lifelong dream. She highlighted the grandeur, beauty, and emotion of the parade, noting that it is impossible to fully capture in words the impact of seeing the performances live.

One of the highlights of the night was her enthusiastic reaction to the parade of Unidos do Viradouro, the 2026 Carnival champion. The school’s winning theme, “Pra Cima, Ciça!”, was a vibrant tribute to Mestre Ciça (Moacyr da Silva Pinto), the long-serving drum master whose decades of dedication helped shape the heart and rhythm of Rio’s samba tradition, celebrating his legacy and influence on the culture of Carnival. Gabriela cheered passionately as the champion school entered the Sambadrome with this emotionally powerful and visually stunning performance, embracing the artistry and cultural pride displayed by the Viradouro community.

Reflecting on the night, the Brazilian titleholder shared how Carnival reinforced her pride in being Brazilian: “I want to be Brazilian a thousand times over.”
