Since being crowned Miss World Belize, Faith Edgar has remained committed to her Beauty With a Purpose project, Smiles for Belize, a nationwide initiative focused on improving access to dental care and oral health education for children and underserved communities across the country. Faith, a dental student and passionate advocate for preventive dental care, has made community service a central part of her year as national titleholder.
In her latest activity, Faith and her team visited the Maya Centre community, where they provided fluoride treatments, educational materials, and dental take-home kits for local children. The initiative highlighted a significant challenge faced by many rural families, as the nearest dental clinic is located approximately 31 miles away, making routine dental care difficult to access for those without reliable transportation.
Through Smiles for Belize, Faith has traveled throughout the country, raising awareness about oral health, promoting preventive care, and bringing dental services directly to communities that need them most. Her mission is to empower children and families with the knowledge and resources necessary to maintain healthy smiles and improve their overall well-being and health.
Faith earned the Beauty With a Purpose award during the Miss World Belize competition thanks to her dedication to expanding access to dental health services and education. Since her election, she has continued to build on that work.
Faith Edgar will represent Belize at the 75th Miss World Festival, which will take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026.
