Rafah Nanjeba Torsa, Miss World Bangladesh 2019, has embarked on a major new chapter in her career by signing on to star in four upcoming films, signaling a busy and promising year ahead.

Torsa, who represented Bangladesh on the global stage at the 69th Miss World Festival, in London, has quickly transitioned from Miss World Bangladesh winner to acting and continues to make strides in the entertainment industry. She is currently in production for the rural-based feature film Mati, directed by Syed Shamsher Tarif, opposite newcomer Alvi Mamun.

In addition to Mati, the former Miss World Bangladesh has completed two other projects with director Ali Zulfikar Zahedi: the socially relevant short film Roktochaya and the feature Nirjon Sakkhor, both of which explore gender-based discrimination and are awaiting release.

Details about her fourth signed film are still under wraps, with producers planning an official announcement soon. Torsa has also garnered positive attention for her performance in the web series Plan B and her popular podcast She, which is returning for a second season.

Rafah Nanjeba Torsa first rose to national prominence when she was crowned Miss World Bangladesh 2019 in October of that year, going on to represent her country at the Miss World finals.
