Miss World Argentina 2026, Alina Luz Akselrad, has announced the second phase of her Beauty With a Purpose project, Healing the World (Sanando el Mundo), an initiative designed to promote peace, sustainability and support for children.

The project encourages children and families to exchange toy weapons for recreational and educational toys, fostering positive values while discouraging the normalization of violence. Through the campaign, hundreds of toy weapons were collected with the support of the local community.

The collected items were delivered to the EMEC recycling plant, operated by BioCba and the Ministry of Environment of Córdoba Province, where they were shredded, melted down, and repurposed into furniture for the Children’s Hospital of Córdoba.

By transforming symbols of violence into useful resources for young patients, the initiative combines environmental responsibility with social impact. The project also helps reduce plastic waste while creating a safer and more positive environment for children.

Alina will represent Argentina in Vietnam, from August 9 to September 5.
