On August 20, reigning Miss World Opal Suchata and Miss World Asia Krishnah Gravidez inaugurated a new Breast Cancer Screening Centre in Dokiparru, strengthening efforts to address one of the most urgent health concerns for women in India and beyond.

The centre, supported by philanthropist Sudha Reddy, BWAP Global Ambassador, aims to promote early detection and awareness, offering women greater access to life-saving care.

During the press call, Opal highlighted the inspiration behind her project “Opal for Her,” which focuses on women’s health and empowerment. She credited Miss World and Beauty with a Purpose (BWAP) for amplifying her voice and mission.

Reflecting on the significance of the visit, Opal said:

“What brought me here would probably be Sudha Reddy, of course, because this place means a lot to her. And we were talking about working on our project on Beauty with a Purpose, especially breast cancer, that we’re focusing on this year. I just couldn’t say nothing but a yes and then just come here immediately. It’s great to be here.”

Following the inauguration, Opal and Krishnah toured the facility, spoke with doctors and patients, posed for media photo calls, and visited a local temple to receive blessings for their mission.
