Miss World 2000 and international star Priyanka Chopra Jonas served as the closing keynote speaker at the 23rd annual India Conference hosted at Harvard University, held at Harvard Business School. With the theme “The India We Imagine,” the conference gathered more than 1,000 participants to explore India’s growing global influence through business, culture, and policy, alongside networking sessions and workshops designed to foster cross-cultural exchange.

Organizers highlighted Priyanka’s journey from Bollywood to Hollywood as a powerful example of cultural fluency reshaping global narratives about India. In her address, she spoke about belonging, representation, and how individual agency and creative voices help redefine how nations are seen on the world stage, moving many in the packed auditorium.

Beyond her entertainment career, Priyanka’s humanitarian work was also underscored. She has served as National Ambassador for UNICEF India since 2006 and became a Global Goodwill Ambassador in 2016, championing children’s rights and girls’ education worldwide. Through her production company Purple Pebble Pictures, she has also helped bring socially rooted Indian stories to international audiences.

The conference featured other prominent speakers, including author and politician Shashi Tharoor, entrepreneur Anjula Acharia, Olympic medalist P.V. Sindhu, and former Hindustan Unilever CEO Rohit Jawa, making the event a vibrant forum on leadership, culture, and India’s future on the global stage.

Priyanka closed telling students, “You are the India I imagined,” celebrating a new generation proud of its roots while shaping the world beyond borders, a moment that perfectly captured the spirit of the conference.
