Miss Uganda, Muhoza Trivia Elle, through the Miss Uganda Foundation, announced its active involvement in the 8th National Girls Summit 2025, a major advocacy event held in Uganda dedicated to ending child marriage and teenage pregnancies.

Under the theme “The Cost of Inaction: Addressing the Root Causes of Child Marriage and Teenage Pregnancies,” the Summit brought together leaders, community advocates, and youth activists to spotlight the urgent need for collective efforts to protect young girls and secure their futures.

The Foundation described the Summit as a “powerful platform” that emphasized the importance of coordinated action to empower girls across the country. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to supporting young women and amplifying voices against harmful practices that undermine girls’ rights and opportunities.

“We were honored to have been part of the 8th National Girls Summit 2025,” the Foundation wrote, adding that its participation aligns with ongoing efforts to break the cycle of child marriage and build lasting change for future generations.

The Summit included discussions on policy, education, community engagement, and social support systems needed to tackle underlying causes of early marriage and teenage pregnancy. Stakeholders emphasized the value of continued collaboration among government agencies, civil society, and youth organizations.

Miss Uganda continues to champion girls’ empowerment as a central pillar of its mission, advocating for increased awareness, protection, and opportunities for young women across Uganda.
