Miss World Scotland Eilidh MacDonald has raised more than £6,100 for St Andrew’s Hospice following her first charity lunch, with donations continuing to increase after the event.  

Held at Maison by Glaschu in Glasgow, the fundraiser brought together supporters who contributed through ticket sales, donations, raffles, an auction and games. Guests were also joined by a special appearance from Andi the Highland Cow, the hospice’s new mascot.  

MacDonald thanked sponsors, volunteers, family, friends, the team at Maison by Glaschu, and everyone who attended or donated, saying the event’s success was made possible by their collective support. She described hosting her first charity lunch as an honor and said she was proud of what had been achieved together.  

St Andrew’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care, comfort and support for people living with life-limiting illnesses while also assisting their families. MacDonald praised the dedication of the hospice’s staff and volunteers, highlighting the compassion and dignity they provide to patients when they need it most.  

As Miss World Scotland, MacDonald has made raising funds and awareness for hospice care across Scotland a central part of her Beauty With a Purpose journey as she prepares to represent Scotland at the 75th Anniversary of Miss World in Vietnam, August 9 to September 5.
