Chloe Robinson has been crowned Miss New Zealand 2026 after winning the national final held on June 6 at the Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna Beach, Auckland. The 19-year-old architecture student from the University of Auckland will represent New Zealand at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival, scheduled to take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026.  

Born and raised in New Zealand, Robinson proudly embraces her Cantonese heritage and has spoken about representing New Zealand’s country’s multicultural identity at Miss World. Alongside her studies in architecture, she advocates for safe and accessible housing and has worked with local organizations supporting families and communities.  

Her platform centers on housing security and creating opportunities for vulnerable families, combining her academic interests with social impact initiatives.  

The newly crowned Miss New Zealand has also showcased her creativity through a self-made national costume inspired by the taniwha, a significant figure in Māori tradition. Created using recycled cardboard and repurposed spoons, the costume incorporates kোরu patterns symbolizing growth and new beginnings, reflecting themes of sustainability, guardianship, and New Zealand’s natural heritage.

Robinson becomes New Zealand’s latest representative in a country with a long Miss World history dating back to 1956. While New Zealand has yet to win the Miss World crown, it has produced several strong performers over the years, including two first runners-up and recent quarterfinalists.
