Miss World Ireland 2025, Caoimhe Kenny, returned to her hometown of Dundalk to officially light Ireland’s tallest Christmas tree, marking a magical start to the festive season.

Thousands of spectators gathered in the town centre to witness the moment Caoimhe switched on the Christmas lights, transforming Dundalk into a sparkling holiday spectacle. The towering tree, the tallest in any Irish town, stood as the shining centerpiece of the annual Forestial celebrations, drawing cheers from families, friends, and visitors who filled the streets to celebrate the beloved tradition.

The atmosphere was electric as the community came together to welcome the season with joy and pride, especially with one of their own taking centre stage.

Speaking at the event, Miss Ireland reflected on the meaning behind the celebration:

“The true meaning of Christmas is spending time with loved ones and giving back to your community, and I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the season than spending it in my hometown and seeing the town light up for the festive season.”
