Miss Indonesia 2025: Here is all you need to know about the event
The much-anticipated Miss Indonesia 2025 final is set to take place on July 9, with a very special guest in attendance: Opal Suchata, the reigning Miss World from Thailand. This will be her first national pageant appearance since winning the Miss World crown in Telangana, India, on May 31.
During the Miss Indonesia 2025 Press Conference, Monica Kezia unveiled the new Miss Indonesia crown, an exclusive UBS Gold creation. The reigning titleholder, Monica Kezia Sembiring, will crown her successor with the brand new UBS Gold crown.
Kezia recently represented the nation at the 72nd Miss World Festival, where she won the Talent and Beauty With a Purpose Fast-Track competitions and secured a Top 10 placement in a very disputed Asia & Oceania group, Top 40 overall.
A Historic Streak
Indonesia’s highest placement at Miss World is 2nd runner-up, a feat achieved by both Maria Harfanti (2015) and Natasha Mannuela (picture above, on the right).Indonesia’s participation in Miss World has become a point of national pride. Since 2011, the country has maintained an unbroken 12-year streak of placements at the event, an impressive achievement that places it second only to the United Kingdom, which holds the highly impressive record for 29 consecutive years of placement (1958–1986).
Indonesia’s next goal is to conquer its first Miss World.
The Event
Miss Indonesia 2025 will feature contestants from 38 provinces, including a debut for South Papua (Papua Selatan), a new province officially established in 2022.
Yuliana Efrencia Kaize is the first-ever Miss Papua Selatan.The event will be broadcast nationally by RCTI and is expected to draw high-profile guests from across Asia and beyond. With Julia Morley CBE and Miss World Opal Suchata’s presence, international attention will be on Jakarta, making this one of the most watched national finals in the pageant world this year.

Miss World licensee in Indonesia, and Miss Indonesia’s producer, is Liliana Tanoesoedibjo.
Liliana is a prominent businesswoman and philanthropist, and the wife of Hary Tanoesoedibjo, owner of MNC Group, one of Indonesia’s largest media conglomerates.
