Grace Richardson, 20, from Leicestershire, was crowned Miss England a few days ago after delivering an impressive vocal performance of “Never Enough” at the national final. A musical theatre student at LCPA, Grace originally planned to present a ballet routine filmed inside Leicester Cathedral, but fractured her foot shortly after submitting the video. Unable to dance live, she chose to sing instead, mesmerizing the judges and taking the crown.

Grace lives with ankyloglossia (tongue-tie), a condition that restricts tongue movement and makes singing more challenging.

“It’s been tough, but I’ve learned to adapt,” she said. “Setbacks don’t have to stop you, they can make you stronger.”

Beyond the stage, Grace is the founder of EveryDropCounts, her Beauty With a Purpose campaign advocating mandatory water-impact labels on clothing in the UK, helping consumers understand how many liters of water are required to produce garments. The initiative has already received support from Ann Oliver MBE, founder of the British Theatre Dance Association.

Grace is also developing an eco-themed educational game for young people. Once released, proceeds will support environmental charities, including WASUP (World Against Single Use Plastic) and the Vayyu Foundation, where she serves as an ambassador.

As she prepares Miss World, Grace remains focused on promoting the arts, sustainability, youth education, and responsible fashion.
