Indira Ampiot, 21, from Guadeloupe has been designated as Miss World France 2026

Indira Ampiot, now 21 years old, was crowned Miss France 2023 on 17 December 2022 in Châteauroux, representing Guadeloupe. At just 18 years old at the time, she became one of the youngest winners in Miss France history. She succeeded and went on to complete a full year of official duties across France and its overseas territories.

Born in Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe, on 19 September 2004, Ampiot comes from a family with strong professional backgrounds in communications and social services. Her mom was the 1st runner-up in Miss Guadeloupe in 1998.

The new Miss World France is of Indo-Guadeloupean descent through her maternal lineage. Prior to her national title, she completed her baccalauréat with honors and had planned to pursue studies in communication, with a focus on visual advertising and design.

During her year as Miss France, Ampiot fulfilled an extensive schedule of public engagements, cultural events, and charitable activities. She represented the Misd France organization across major national celebrations, regional visits, and media appearances, while also benefiting from professional development opportunities and prize support traditionally associated with the title.

She will now represent France at the 75th Anniversary Edition of Miss World, in Vietnam, from August 9 to September 5.

“I am so happy to be able to represent our country internationally. Thank you to Miss France for this wonderful opportunity,” she wrote on social media shortly after the official announcement.

As Miss World France, Indira Ampiot succeeds Agathe Cauet, who represented France at Miss World in 2025, in Telangana. Cauet was also the runner-up to Ampiot at Miss France 2023.
