Miss Morelos, Cassandra García Olea, was crowned Miss Mexico 2025, earning the right to represent the country at the 73rd Miss World Festival, in 2026. The event was held at the Santiago Auditorium, in Santiago, Nuevo León, on November 30. 32 states’ representatives competed for the crown. Mar Mondragón, Miss Hidalgo, was the 1st runner-up.

At 23 years old, García holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science and is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in International Trade Relations. Beyond her academic profile, she has built a long trajectory in modeling and dance, areas that helped her develop stage confidence and artistic expression.

The new Miss Mexico hails from Morelos, one of Mexico’s smallest states, but rich in culture, nature and history. Located just south of Mexico City, it is known as the “Land of Eternal Spring” thanks to its year-round warm, pleasant climate.

“I am very dedicated to everything I do, and I prepared myself for each of the challenges,” the new Mexican titleholder shared.

Cassandra also highlighted the passion behind her path in pageantry:

“Loving what you do is important. Hard work always surpasses natural talent.”

Her Beauty With a Purpose project, “Drawing Smiles with Soul”, was recognized among the winners of the BWAP Challenge. She also achieved first place in the Beach Beauty.

Discipline remains one of her defining qualities, both in competition and in her social work. Cassandra has expressed that her project is clear in its mission: to help society and bring positive change.

Cassandra is the third woman from the state of Morelos to compete at Miss World, following Blanca Soto (1997) and Daniela Álvarez (2014). As Miss Mexico, she will now assume the role of national ambassador, participating in social-impact initiatives, diplomatic activities, media engagements, and national and international events.

It is interesting to note that during her crowning, the contestants’ enthusiastic applause highlighted a strong sense of collective approval and acknowledgment of the judges’ decision. She received the crown from the hands of Maryely Leal, who beautifully represented Mexico at the 72nd edition of Miss World, in India.

Her reign will include a rigorous preparation plan toward Miss World, encompassing physical training, runway coaching, public speaking, community service, and personal development. Mexico will aim to repeat historic accomplishments such as Vanessa Ponce de León’s world title in 2018.
