Miss World Morocco’s Chirihan Chergui’s “Doors Open” creates pathways from care to careers for thousands of young people.
Miss World Morocco Chirihan Chergui is helping young people transition from institutional care into higher education and employment through Doors Open, her Beauty With a Purpose project. As an ambassador for SOS Children’s Villages Morocco, she supports young adults as they leave care at the age of 18, providing mentoring, workshops, learning modules, and pathways to paid employment so they can build independent futures.
Working alongside seven university partners across Morocco, the initiative currently reaches around 17,000 young people, connecting education with real job opportunities while promoting financial independence. The program is now expanding to Egypt with the long-term ambition of widening access to employment opportunities for young people across Africa. Partner organizations include SOS Children’s Villages Morocco, Refugee Code Week, NAF Be Future Ready, Elles Bougent, and The Female Quotient.

The 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival will take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, culminating with the grand final in Nha Trang.
