Georgia-Lee Gill is raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and strengthening support for caregivers through The Silver Circle Project.
Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2026, Georgia-Lee Gill, is bringing The Silver Circle Project to the 75th Miss World Festival in Vietnam as her Beauty With a Purpose initiative, promoting greater awareness of Alzheimer’s disease, mental wellbeing, caregiving, and the importance of intergenerational relationships.
Developed in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association of Trinidad and Tobago, the initiative creates safe spaces where young people can openly discuss the realities of dementia, learn how to better support affected families, and understand the emotional challenges faced by caregivers.
Education is at the heart of the project. Through The Silver Circle Podcast, Georgia-Lee brings together healthcare professionals, advocates, caregivers, and individuals with lived experience to discuss Alzheimer’s disease, share practical knowledge, and encourage more informed conversations within communities.
The project has also evolved to address emerging challenges affecting vulnerable elderly people. Working alongside the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia-Lee has led educational sessions for young adults on cybercrime awareness, helping them recognize online scams that frequently target older people living with dementia and equipping them to protect their loved ones. Inspired by her own experience caring for her grandmother, she continues to advocate for stronger support networks for families living with Alzheimer’s disease.
Georgia-Lee will represent Trinidad and Tobago at the 75th Anniversary Miss World Festival, taking place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5.
