Amadea Zupan, Miss World Slovenia, is a medical student with a special interest in dermatology and internal medicine, as well as a contemporary dancer. Through her Beauty With a Purpose initiative, she combines her medical knowledge with community service to promote physical and mental health, inclusion, women’s empowerment, and safer digital environments.

One of her main initiatives is For Women’s Health, developed in partnership with Slovenian company Tosama. The project promotes women’s intimate health, encourages open conversations about menstrual health, and supports the “Zdravko” initiative, which provides free menstrual hygiene products in public spaces. Amadea also presented this work at the 10th Entrepreneurship Congress, advocating for accessible healthcare, prevention, and women’s well-being.

She has also championed women’s empowerment through initiatives such as Girls in the Mine, where she joined more than 500 women in an International Women’s Day event held in the Trbovlje-Hrastnik coal mine under the honorary patronage of the President of Slovenia, celebrating courage, resilience, solidarity, and mutual support.

Inclusion is another cornerstone of her work. Amadea collaborates with occupational activity centers and public social welfare institutions across Slovenia, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her project With You, We Can, presented at the conference Building Bridges, Opening Doors to an Inclusive Society, highlighted the importance of cooperation, education, and empathy in creating more inclusive communities.

She has conducted interactive workshops in Zasavje and Sežana, educating participants about digital safety, cyberbullying, and respectful online communication through discussions, creative activities, painting, and role-playing exercises.

Having personally experienced online harassment, Amadea has made combating cyberbullying a central part of her advocacy. She has delivered educational workshops for children, teenagers, schools, scout groups, and adults, promoting safe online behaviour, and digital responsibility. She also participated in the Srečkov Steg Scout winter camp, leading discussions on cyberbullying prevention and respectful communication.

On World Mental Health Day, she highlighted the relationship between mental health and online violence, encouraging people to seek support and reminding audiences that every online interaction affects a real person.

Amadea also became part of Slovenia’s national anti-violence campaign “Odpikajmo nasilje” (Let’s End Violence), delivering messages through national broadcaster RTV Slovenia that encourage young people to reject violence, choose kindness, and speak out when others are being harmed.

Throughout her year as Miss Slovenia, she has shared these messages through television and radio interviews, podcasts, educational campaigns, and public discussions, helping to raise awareness about health, inclusion, mental well-being, and communication.

She has proudly represented Slovenia at congresses, fairs, municipal events, and international gatherings, while collaborating with leading Slovenian companies including Tosama, Dewesoft, Kronoterm, Stroka.si, and Trimaran to promote healthcare, sustainability, innovation, and responsible entrepreneurship.

As a future doctor, Amadea believes that health is more than the absence of disease. She will be in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, where the 75th Anniversary Edition of Miss World will take place.
