Ireen Navicha Helps Girls Return to School Through Education and Proper Motivation.
Miss World Malawi 2026 is expanding initiatives that support girls affected by early marriage and teenage pregnancy as she prepares to represent her country at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival in Vietnam.
Miss World Malawi 2026 Ireen Navicha is tackling one of her country’s most pressing social challenges through “When a Mother Is a Child,” her Beauty With a Purpose project focused on helping girls who left school because of teenage pregnancy return to complete their education.
Working alongside the Chimbota Community Development Organization in Nkhata Bay District, Ireen visits communities across Malawi, listening to young women’s experiences, encouraging them to rejoin the classroom, and engaging local leaders to help protect girls from abuse and reduce school dropouts linked to early marriage and pregnancy. The initiative responds to the reality that many Malawian girls leave school before completing their education.
Her advocacy extends through the Greynavies Foundation, which she founded in 2022 to break cycles of poverty through education, mentorship, and sustainable community development. One of its flagship programmes, Seed of Hope, empowers women and girls, including single mothers, by combining educational advocacy with practical livelihood opportunities that promote long term independence.
A fourth year student of Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices at the Malawi University of Science and Technology, Ireen believes every girl deserves the opportunity to continue her education regardless of her circumstances.
Ireen Navicha will represent Malawi in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026.
