Miss World Indonesia Audrey Bianca Briner is bringing sustainable solar power, education, and opportunity to one of the country’s most remote communities.

Miss World Indonesia 2026 Audrey Bianca Briner is transforming lives through Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang (After Darkness, Comes Light), her Beauty With a Purpose project dedicated to bringing sustainable electricity, education, and long-term opportunities to remote communities in Indonesia.

The initiative focuses on Letepalolo Village in the Kodi District of Southwest Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara, where 310 residents across 73 households have lived without access to electricity. Audrey’s project is delivering solar-powered lighting to 38 homes, constructing a solar-powered community hall, and establishing Perpustakaan Kartini, a library named in honor of Indonesian national heroine R.A. Kartini, providing children with a safe and well-lit place to learn.

Beyond installing infrastructure, the project also emphasizes sustainability by training local residents to maintain the solar energy system independently, ensuring the benefits continue long after the initial implementation.

Inspired by the legacy of R.A. Kartini, whose advocacy for women’s rights and education helped shape modern Indonesia, the initiative reflects her vision of equal opportunity for all. Through improved access to electricity, education, and community facilities, Audrey aims to help create social and economic opportunities for a region that has long faced significant development challenges.

The project is carried out in partnership with the Miss Indonesia Foundation (Yayasan Miss Indonesia).

The 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival will take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5.
