An 18-year-old from Ballyclare, Amelie is a talented polo player who has used her platform to raise awareness about cancer through her own personal journey.
Amelie Moore has been appointed as the new Northern Ireland representative at Miss World in Vietnam, following the withdrawal of titleholder Carly Wilson.
Carly Wilson announced that she would not be able to travel to Vietnam due to circumstances beyond her control, explaining that she must prioritize her health. After a memorable year as Miss Northern Ireland, she made the difficult decision to relinquish the title in order to focus on her recovery.
“t is with deep regret that I announce I will not be attending the Miss World festival in Vietnam this month. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am unable to attend and must prioritise my health. I am beyond grateful for the wonderful experience this past year has been, from supporting the wonderful charities, to attending fabulous events and meeting so many wonderful people”.
Amelie Moore, the first runner-up at the national final, now steps into the role and will proudly represent Northern Ireland at Miss World in Vietnam. An 18-year-old from Ballyclare, she recently completed her A Levels in Biology, Psychology, and Health & Social Care. A talented polo player who has competed nationally for several years, she has also used her platform to raise awareness about cancer through her own personal journey.
As she prepares to travel to Vietnam, Moore shared that she hopes to honor Wilson throughout the competition, even revealing that she will wear Wilson’s Miss Northern Ireland sash as a tribute to her predecessor.
