Our project this year was "connecting hearts"

When I won Miss Nepal World 2020, I knew there's a much awaited journey for me. I knew I could do wonders with this one title in order to help people around me. We had to prepare for the Miss World pageant and Beauty With A Purpose was the heart and soul of it. So we embarked upon a journey of changing lives....

We came across a village where a lack of a basic infrastructure (bridge) had created havoc with 3 deaths and many serious cases. Without wasting a single moment we started finding resources. As I say "WE" here, undoubtedly I've been blessed with a team who had my back whenever I was about to fall...but this vision of creating this entire bridge depended all on my will and determination. We went on to search for human resources as we knew nothing about building a bridge. People in the community helped us with the further proceedings. The amount of time, effort and persistance that took place in order to get documents signed by the authorities and convince donors that we WILL build this bridge within a certain time period was unexplainable. :)

I can still imagine myself with teary eyes when our first phase of action plan was taken ahead.

Slowly but steadily our bridge started coming to life!

With 9 months of unshakable belief and dedication we finally completed the bridge that took 5 months to complete physically.

Although I'm not an engineer or skilled/unskilled manpower I tried helping wherever I couldAlthough I'm not an engineer or skilled/unskilled manpower I tried helping wherever I could

This bridge right here is not just an infrastructure built by steel and cement but a hope that we gave to the people whose voices went unheard. This bridge is built from the blood and sweat of the laborers, villages and not to forget the generous donors who brought this vision to life.

I can proudly say my life on this earth has been counted because I did not just live for myself but for others too....

With love and a grateful heart,

Nepal
