Thanks to “Save the Tiger” campaign, one of the tiger protection measures, India has been successfully fighting to preserve the tigers, and subsequently avoiding their habitat degradation and loss, hunting by humans, and reporting the international black market in tiger parts and products.
I would like to highlight the tigers’ situation in India, most specifically in Maharashtra, where a festival to promote the cause will take place March 1st to 3rd - the Tadoba Festival. Because Maharashtra is considered to be a city of tiger in India
The Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is a wildlife sanctuary in Maharashtra state in India. It is Maharashtra's oldest and largest national park. Created in 1955, the reserve includes the Tadoba National Park and the Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary.
Forests, grasslands and wildlife continued to suffer due to overexploitation, extensive cultivation, hunting and poaching. But thanks to the dedicated frontline forest staff, and members of NGOs and fringe communities that have worked over the decades, Sustained conservation efforts have led to the revival of tigers and other wildlife here.Today, Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve is currently the habitat of 93 which the number has remarkably increased from 15, making it one of the most densely populated ones in the country.
This is a shining feather on the crown of the Save Tiger Mission.In celebration of this successful conservation, the Tadoba Festival in Maharashtra, March 1 to 3, supporting the campaign “SAVE THE TIGER” is coming up.Let's join hands in celebrating and appreciating their dedication to saving these majestic creatures.
