Liza Gundowry, Miss World Mauritius, kicks off the latest chapter of her Beauty With A Purpose project, a school awareness campaign, at her alma mater Hampstead Junior School. The choice to begin this venture at her old primary school holds sentimental value, as education has been a pivotal pillar of development in her life.

In a special session at the school, Liza delivered a talk highlighting the importance of home gardening. Alongside specialists in this field, she also conducted a practical session, teaching students how to prepare a garden bed. The interactive session aimed to inspire students to adopt sustainable practices and develop a responsible approach to agriculture.

Collaborating with Espace Maison, Liza was able to make a meaningful contribution by donating gardening tools to the school. This donation serves to encourage students to continue their gardening practices on the school grounds.

Emphasising the significance of passing down knowledge to future generations, Liza envisions creating a lasting impact through her campaign. The initiative at Hampstead Junior School is a testament to her commitment to education, sustainability, and community development. The campaign aligns with the broader goals of Beauty With A Purpose, nurturing a sense of responsibility towards food security and sustainable living among the younger generation.
