First meeting between the Miss World Malaysia team and NASOM representatives, on 19th January 2023First meeting between the Miss World Malaysia team and NASOM representatives, on 19th January 2023

The Miss World Malaysia Team has decided on a painting by a student under the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM) as the auction gift of Malaysia at the 71st Miss World.

Wenanita Angang has been working closely with NASOM in the past year as part of advocacy to raise awareness and promote acceptance and inclusion for the autistic community. Throughout her journey as an advocate, she has met multiple autistic artists and been exposed to numerous artworks. She believes that autistic art is diverse and beautiful as every artist, no matter whether they have practiced for days or decades, offers a unique style.

Bringing the artwork of a Malaysian autistic artist to the 71st Miss World is a sentimental gesture for Wenanita as it symbolises the summary of her journey as Miss World Malaysia 2022, the advocate of the Malaysian autistic community.
