Nellie Anjaratiana won Miss World Madagascar 2020, on 17th July, in a virtual contest of six finalists. Nellie expressed her awe, “I can’t put words on my emotions. This has been a long journey; now let’s unite to push our homeland up!”

Miss World Madagascar is from Port Bergé and represented the Diaspora province. She is a 24 year old life sciences graduate who also holds a diplopma in customer relations. The Miss Madagascar National Committee report that Nellie’s “maturity, independence and discipline are her strengths, not to mention her perfect command of foreign languages.” The Committee added that she is contributing to the development of Madagascar in being a member of the Dera and Main tendue charities.
