Top Model Fast-track event.

A bright and rather promising day it was.We started off by touring the El Yunke Rainforest and there is when I experienced another new..getting rained on in a rainforest.To be honest I live for such moments.So pure...

It was so much fun but time caught up with us and we had to go back to the hotel we were staying(Hyatt Grand Regency Reserve)to get ready for the evening.We had already packed our outfits earlier so it was not much of a hustle.I had not yet decided the makeup look I'd have on but I knew that once I touched my brushes,Picasso .I was so much looking forward to the evening ahead and how everything would roll out.From our rehearsals,  I could already tell it would be epic!

The colourful night event was held at Distrito-T-Mobile.I am so proud of the show that my sisters and I were able to put up,ofcourse with assistance from our able Chaperones and the entire Miss World Organisation.

For the first round,we graced the runway dressed by Puerto Rican designers.My designer was Carmen Pena.I absolutely loved the outfit.It gave Jasmine from Aladdin vibes and walking on that runway felt like a magic carpet ride.What intrigued me more was the fact  that when Carmen learnt that she would be dressing me,she did some research on my country,Kenya and drew  inspiration from our landscape and sunsets .For an African touch,I paired the salmon 2- piece outfit with handmade Kenyan Jewellery from Zanta Adyede.

For the second part of the show,I wore a spectacular red gown that was carefully thought out by Mrs.Terry Mungai (Franchise holder Miss World Kenya) and Miss Ashley Mungai(Director ,Miss World Kenya) and put together by BFF apparel.It felt so fierce yet delicate.The dress sought to embody the braveness of a nation rising from the ashes of insecurity, corruption and tribalism to a nation now driven by love. The elaborate shoulder  meant to mirror the crown on the head of the grey crowned crane that is known for catwalking along the Kenya savannahs. Lastly the dress was made from embroidered satin lace with jewels in order to have a perfect stunning fit to accentuate the figure and beauty of the woman. For the Kenyan woman is the heart and bedrock of the nation.
