Fourteen years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake. An elementary school that was struck by the tsunami has been preserved as a memorial site, with messages of support still written on the blackboard. At the earthquake memorial museum, I saw records showing how the local community was devastated and how international media reported on the tragedy. The stigma surrounding radiation still lingers, making it critically important to share accurate scientific information.
