Christmas has always been a time of joy, sharing, and reflection on the true meaning of the holiday for me: love for one another. This year, I had the unique opportunity to experience a different kind of Christmas Eve, an experience that enriched my heart and allowed me to make a small contribution to the community. As Miss World Italy, I spent the evening with some elderly residents of a nursing home, thanks to the valuable collaboration with the Red Cross volunteers.

The evening began with our arrival at the nursing home, where the Red Cross volunteers and I, with the ambulance parked symbolically behind us, were greeted with enthusiasm and curiosity. I was there not only as Miss World Italy but, above all, as a person eager to share moments of joy and warmth during such a significant time.

We organized a small celebration that included distributing panettone, a symbol of Italian Christmas tradition, and a musical moment where we sang Christmas classics and some of the elderly's favorite songs together. The smile on their faces, the gratitude in their eyes, and the energy in the air were palpable. It was evident how much these small actions could make a difference in someone's day.

During dinner, I had the opportunity to sit with them, listen to their stories, often full of wisdom and memories of a bygone era. They shared their experiences, successes, and hardships with me, reminding me of the importance of valuing every moment of our lives.

This experience taught me that beauty goes beyond outward appearance; it resides in empathy, solidarity, and the ability to listen and be close to others, especially those who are lonely or in difficulty. The presence of the Red Cross, a symbol of help and hope, further underscored the message of unity and mutual support we wanted to convey.

Concluding this special evening, I felt immensely grateful for the opportunity to contribute, even in a small way, to bring some warmth and happiness to that nursing home. This experience reminded me that true queens are those who serve others with humility and love, and that every small act of kindness can illuminate someone's life.

I wish my story could inspire others to dedicate some of their time to those in need, especially during the holidays. The true magic of Christmas lies in shared love and small actions that, together, can make a big difference.
