International Women's Day to me is all about uplifting our women, seeing what we’ve done and celebrating us for the wonderful, powerful women that we are. We all come from different backgrounds, and have had different struggles that we have each had to go through. Throughout my Miss Ireland and Miss World journey I have met the most inspirational women whose stories would blow your mind yet they have overcome that and still made it to where they are today, and are incredible leaders in their communities.
IWD - photos by tessy photographyI stem from an incredibly strong woman, my mom, and I can proudly say that everything I do is a product of amazing female leadership both from my mom and others around me. I myself hope that through my children's advocacy, and my role as Miss Ireland and the representation that comes with being a woman of colour in this position can inspire other young girls out there to dream big. We have so much that we can offer to the world and we just need to find our place and cement that. IWD is celebrating our awesomeness as women, that's the simplest way to put it. It’s celebrating who I am and where we as woman are going.
Be Fearlessly YOU!
