A groundbreaking journey is underway, centered on protecting children against sexual abuse. I created the Break the silence program with the mission of ‘Dare to Speak Up and Together Break the Cycle of Child Sexual Abuse’.
Taking this campaign to various school across seven different cities in Indonesia, I hope to empower children with essential knowledge and skills, cultivating a proactive stance against the pervasive threat of sexual abuse. Encouraging children to find their bravery to speak up, which enables them to seek the necessary help and support.
Nevertheless, the goal extends beyond prevention, aiming to empower victim on their recovery journey. Through training for trainers, we aim to equip the communities with understanding and skills that can help support these children in the recovery process. My goal is to raise awareness and instilling a sense of responsibility in society, creating a nurturing environment where all children feel safe enough to openly seek help and support.
My belief is that this harmonious synergy not only preserves the innocence of the little ones in Indonesia, but also shines a light of hope, inspiring other communities around the world to embark on similar journeys towards protection, resilience, and recovery. Because the most important thing is to keep their spirit alive, enable them to fight for their dreams, and see a brighter future.
