I started the #WomenOnAMission series with an aim to highlight the work done by exceptionally talented women from different spheres of life, and I couldn't be more excited to introduce to you my recent guest and India's pride, Capt. Zoya Agarwal.

I had the honour to speak with the first female aviator to fly over the North Pole, and her words were truly encouraging and inspiring. Carrying out the Vande Bharat mission, an initiative taken by the Indian government, Zoya captained an all-woman crew making the inaugural flight from San Francisco to Bengaluru, one of the longest non-stop air routes in the world and the longest flight by any Indian carrier, longest-lived by Air India. And the longest flight operated by all-women flight crew over the North Pole.

Narrating the nearly impossible, dream come true moment, Zoya said, "This was a long-standing dream of us in Air India, which I carry with so much pride all over the world. So this dream saved tons of fuel; it saved tons of time. And it was something that we have been wanting to do for such a long time. But it does require a lot of checking the boxes for which we had to wait for clearances and technical issues and so on and so forth. But finally, when the launch flight between the two Silicon Valley's of San Francisco to Bengaluru was announced, we could make this happen. As a matter of fact, this was a dream of our Prime Minister Modi Ji, which we four Bharat Ki Beti's could make come true, and I'm so glad to the Indian government, our airline, to give this golden opportunity to Bharat Ki Beti's because that is what makes us stronger. And out there, we carried our Indian flag with so much pride."

On asking her how it all began, she said it all started with an innocent dream, a dream to touch the stars. that's it! "If you pursue anything with all your mind, your heart and your soul, that star that we wish upon will make it happen, and I'm a live example," added Zoya, as she kept surprising me with her thought and her vision that has inspired, million and billions across the globe.

During a press conference, Zoya was quizzed as to what was the next thing she wanted to do in life, and her reply is the message I take back and hope every single girl who reads this takes back - "I want to change the world. I want to tell every single girl out there who sees me if you can see me, you can be me. Because there is nothing which is impossible. Just change the way you read it (impossible) and say I am possible."
