India is a melting pot of traditions, cultures and festivals. On auspicious occasions, us, Indians, like to dress up in ethnic Indian outfits as a way of celebrating and rejoicing Indian values and rituals. Here, I am wearing an ethnic lehenga (skirt) by designer Falguni Shane Peacock. The outfit consists of a matching choli (top) and dupatta (stole). 

I have complemented the look with traditional Indian jadau jewellery including a stone necklace, earrings, ring, maang tikka (head gear) and kangan (bangle). My hair and makeup done by Bianca Louzado.

Indian artistry and textiles are famous across the globe. The heavy embroidery on the outfit reflects Indian craftsmanship at its best.

I personally love colours. The subtle splash of pink, gold and green in this ensemble is testament to the various colours one witnesses during Indian festivals such as Holi, Diwali etc. The way the colours are perfectly fused together can be compared to how diverse religions live together in harmony in India.
