I want to do all I can in my capacity to make a difference with my mission towards preventing and stopping child sexual abuse in association with the Beauty With A Purpose Project 10-9-8.

I launched my BWAP project, a campaign against child sexual abuse, at Bharosa Centre Hyderabad. It felt an honour when I landed myself in the momentous opportunity to meet Divya Devarajan, I.A.S Special Secretary to Government and commissioner, WDCW Dept.

We talked about my mission 1098, which is a wheel of change because, according to the data, the cases of child marriage, forced child labour, and sexual abuse significantly increased in number during the pandemic, which has created job loss abandonment, and orphanhood. Although a national hotline for child protection (10-9-8) exists in India, there is little to no public awareness on the same.

For this project, I have taken up the cause of preventing and stopping child sexual abuse with the help of the campaign, We Can, and project 10-9-8, instated to promote the safety and security of children.

I wish to strengthen the child protection system in India by spreading awareness of how a young child in distress can reach out for help by dialing four digits — 1098 — a number that can save a life.

Divya spoke about my efforts and how my Beauty With A Purpose Project (BWAP) is helping create awareness. She said, "I'm very thrilled today that Manasa Varanasi, our very own Miss India, has chosen to work with us for the Beauty With A Purpose project. She has been interacting with us and planning on how to do better things for these children with so much passion. She wanted to partner with us to ensure that there is a child transport vehicle in every district. She is also campaigning with us to ensure that the child response number 1098 is amplified further and that every child out there is safe. She, being an engineer herself, has come forward to support our campus."

She further added, "We really thank Manasa Varanasi for her endeavour; we hope she clinches the title and ensures that she takes it forward and this social purpose even further. We wish her all the best for her future wellness."

With this project, I aim to strengthen India's child protection system and spread awareness on how a young child in distress can reach out for help with a number as direct as 1098.
