The glitzy, glamorous world of pageants looks magnificent from the outside, but the pressure is real within. While most people expect us to wear make-up and parade in beautiful gowns, there’s more to it than meets the eye.
Pageants are a platform to exhibit beauty inside-out, leading an example worth following and dedicating time and talent for the betterment of society. These women sure are true queens, but at the end of the day, humans with real emotions. Participating in any competition is challenging and would leave you anxious. Imagine representing your country at a global stage shouldering dreams of over 1.3 billion Indians? I know the importance of mental peace, and it is necessary to keep calm amidst the pressure of a life-altering moment.
Yoga and meditation help me keep my calm. Taking a few minutes out every day to focus on my breath and feel gratitude for everything I have, helps me slow down.
And to stay confident and focused, preparation is the key! When I pour my 100% into all the work that I do, I feel more at peace knowing that I’ve given my best shot, whatever the outcome! Garnering love and blessings from my family, friends, and fans, I'm excited to represent India at the 70th edition of Miss World, to be held at José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. See you soon!
