As a part of the Talent Round, I performed a song, Jiya Jale, which is all about a woman's love, her undying loyalty, and her burning desire towards her lover and her purpose. I performed this song in the semi-classical dance form of Bharatnatyam, which is all about rhythms, emotions, expressions, and movement in the form of dance.

Since it is a traditional dance form, we typically start by doing namaskaram where we stomp five feet on the ground and join my palms together and the form of a namaste to seek blessing from mother earth and tell her that I will be dancing upon her. I think it's an absolutely beautiful dance form, representing Indian traditions and values.
