As I stepped onto the stage of the 71st Miss World Talent Competition, I knew I wanted to pay homage to a woman whose grace, talent, and beauty have captivated hearts around the world - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Growing up, I admired her from afar, watching her performances with awe and often finding myself trying to imitate her dance moves. Little did I know that one day, I would have the opportunity to honour her on a global stage.
Aishwarya, crowned Miss World in 1994, has since become a symbol of elegance and excellence in the world of Bollywood. Her journey from beauty queen to Bollywood superstar has been nothing short of inspiring. She has not only conquered the silver screen but has also used her platform to champion various causes and make a positive impact on society.
For my talent showcase at the Miss World pageant, I wanted to showcase the beauty and richness of Indian culture, much like Aishwarya has done throughout her career. My performance was a blend of Indian classical and Bollywood dance styles, a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
As I danced, I felt a deep connection to the art form and the woman who had inspired me for so long. It was a moment of pure joy and gratitude, knowing that I was representing my country and paying tribute to one of its most iconic figures.
Making it to the Top 14 of the Miss World pageant was an incredible honour, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have shared my talent and my love for Indian culture with the world.
