Cultural exchange plays a powerful role in our shared human experience. Thus, travelling and getting to know people from different cultural backgrounds opens up our horizons and changes the way we perceive the world. I have often had the opportunity to travel to new territories and explore a different way of life. But I hardly ever got to show others what Indian traditions and culture are all about. With the 71st Miss World being hosted at home, India, I got the chance to show the beauty of the country to my sisters from over 100 countries.

As the host delegate of Miss World, I was extremely excited to show the world how Indian hospitality sets itself apart from the rest of the world. 'Atithi Devo Bhava', which means to treat a guest like a God, is deeply inculcated in our roots. I made a mental note of a plethora of street food that I would want them to discover. But something that I knew would draw them the most to India is Bollywood. An electrifying combination of the colours, the romance, and the dance moves roused the interest of everyone alike. And when I proposed a Bollywood dance reel, they were not only thrilled but also committed to getting the steps right.

We picked the song 'Dhoom Taana' from the cult movie 'Om Shanti Om', and we had a gala time filming it. The enthusiasm among the gorgeous delegates makes me sure that we will be doing more Bollywood reels as we move ahead with the pageant. The girls bonded over a shared love for high-energy moves as well as Shah Rukh Khan.
