For the very first time, at the opening ceremony of the 71st Miss World, a momentous event, I had the privilege of representing India on a global stage. The saree not only made me feel confident and beautiful but also allowed me to showcase the rich cultural heritage of India to the world.
Draped in the stunning Banarasi saree by Jayanti Reddy, I felt like I was wearing a piece of India's rich history and culture. The saree was not just a garment but a symbol of elegance and tradition that had been passed down for generations.
The intricate handwoven silk and the beautiful embroidery on the saree showcased the incredible craftsmanship of Indian artisans. Jayanti Reddy's designs blended traditional motifs with modern styles, creating a look that was both timeless and contemporary.
Wearing that saree was a way for me to connect with my roots and honour the traditions of my country. As I walked in that beautiful creation, I felt a sense of pride in my heritage and the beauty of Indian fashion.
