My name is Hugrún Birta Egilsdóttir, I am 26 years old and I represent Iceland in the 70th Miss World pageant in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

I was born and raised in Reykjavík with a single mother and my brother.

I’m the youngest of five siblings.

I’m currently a student planning to graduate with a degree in marketing. I am also working as a cosmetic brand manager and although I am a makeup artist my favourite make up tip is - Less is more.

I entered the Miss World competition because I know that my passion in life is to nurture, care and love. I seek to be inspirational and positive, to be transparent and to be accessible, to share my story, promote my role and the outreach of the organization.

Most of my spare time I spend training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, with a blue belt focusing on the next one at Mjölnir and a few years ago I became a certified instructor. I love spending time with my family and loved ones, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, connecting with nature, outdoor activities, brazilian jiu jitsu, travelling and experiencing new cultures.
