I took this photo whilst filming my introduction video within St. Michael’s Cave in Gibraltar.
It is a beautiful, prehistoric cave formed over millions of years and which is now one of the many tourist attractions with nearly 1 million visitors every year.
The history and beauty of this natural wonder has had many uses throughout history and it is believed the cave was the home of the Neanderthal man and primitive life. Legend says that the famous Barbary Macaque came to Gibraltar via an underground passage within the cave.
Today the cave is a natural theatre where many local and international shows, concerts and events are held and I am privileged of having performed here on several occasions.
This spectacular and magical venue is the pride of every Gibraltarian and portrays the beauty of its people through its history, its natural formations, its stability, its infinite colours, its artistic and cultural use and the wonderful memories everyone makes when they visit Gibraltar.
