Petra Marian is a painter, designer born in Transylvania, Romania.
Despite her passion for painting, she enrolled at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, where she obtained a degree in economics. In 2002 she visited the West Indies. Finally, her interest in painting deepened, for his oil paintings, the knife and trowel technique particularly suited her explosive personality. The exhibitions began in 2008, in Guadeloupe, then in Paris, at the Salon des Indépendants, at the Grand Palais. The paintings are always large format, leaving enormous freedom for his impulsive gestures.
For those who look at the work, the vibration is extremely powerful; one could say that the emotional energy of his paintings produces states and not visions.
Her world has no outline, it is made up of pure emotional eruptions. Her casualness can quickly reach, with the same intensity, silent melancholy or visionary delirium. Petra has also developed great qualities in the field of sewing. Her latest exhibitions are beginning to be accompanied by artistic performances using her own body. Currently she lives and works in Paris, the City of Lights.

Choosing Petra for this Fashion Designer Award was a decision imbued with a symbol of uniqueness. By combining artistic and cultural influences from two continents, this collaboration illustrates the diversity and open-mindedness that characterize the world of contemporary fashion.
