Today, I presented my Beauty with Purpose project at the HEAD-TO-HEAD CHALLENGE in the stunning Pragati Maidan, in New Delhi. Inspired by the incredible projects shared by fellow presenters. Together, let's build a future of education, healthcare, and clean water for these incredible communities.
My head-to-head presentation was:
Standing on this incredible stage isn't just about the crown – it's about using my voice to amplify the stories of the people who shaped me, the vibrant communities of the Mursi, Hammer, and Karo tribes in southern Ethiopia.
During my visits to their lands, I was captivated by their colorful culture and the warmth of their welcome. But beneath the surface, I also witnessed the challenges they face: inadequate education, limited healthcare, and a constant struggle for clean water and sanitation. Seeing children learning in makeshift classrooms and families yearning for basic necessities truly moved me. These incredible people deserve so much more.
That's why, if I'm fortunate enough to win Miss World, I won't just be celebrating – I'll be channeling the prize into tangible change. My aim is to create a more hopeful future for these communities by:
- Building strong education infrastructure: Imagine classrooms filled with laughter and learning, equipped with the resources needed to ignite young minds.
- Establishing accessible healthcare facilities: Bringing quality medical care closer to their homes, ensuring well-being for all.
- Guaranteeing access to clean water and sanitation: Providing this fundamental right, empowering families and safeguarding their health.
But I can't do this alone. This is a call to action, a mission we can achieve together. Join me in empowering the Mursi, Hammer, and Karo people:
