MISS ENGLAND 2021 CROWNED

Rehema Muthamia representing Bedfordshire was crowned Miss England 2021 at the glittering final held at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre on 27^th August.

Rehema was crowned by Miss England 2019, Dr Bhasha Mukherjee who received a special award at the event for being the Miss England Humanitarian of the Decade for all her work efforts during the COVID 19 pandemic. Throughout the pandemic, Dr Bhasha has been working on the frontline as a Doctor for the National Health Service.

First runner up was Miss Lancashire, Jessica Gagen an Aerospace Engineering MEng and second runner up was Miss Worcester, Erin Smith who also won the Sportswoman Award.

25-year-old Rehema is a Genetics Graduate from the University of Sussex and speaks four languages.

As her Beauty with a Purpose project Rehema, a domestic abuse victim herself, raised money for Women’s Aid and hopes to use her platform to help other female victims. Rehema did a 300ft bungee jump and a 10,000ft skydive, which raised over £1,200 for the cause.

Rehema said: “Thank you to everyone that has sent their congratulations and support as I continue this journey onto the Miss World stage!”

“I hope I can make you all proud as your Miss World England 2021 and I can’t wait to represent England at the 70^th Miss World in Puerto Rico this December.”

Rehema will represent England at the month-long festival and highly anticipated 70^th Miss World Final in Puerto Rico, where reigning Miss World, Toni-Ann Singh will crown her successor.
