Reigning Miss World Ecuador, Amar Pacheco Ibarra from Guayaquil city is a professional singer, actress and arts student. 10 years ago Amar founded the Amar Silvana Foundation which is dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable in Guayaquil.
Amar has developed her Beauty with a Purpose project with two important stages. The first stage involved delivering over 7,800 food kits, disinfection kits, vitamins and toys. The second stage consisted of producing online entrepreneurship workshops which reach 1,000 Ecuadorians a month.
Many of the beneficiaries of this project are people that have sadly lost their jobs due to the COVID 19 pandemic. The tools they are being given will allow them to create their own enterprises.
On an official trip, delivering donations to the Kotococha Indigenous Community, Amar had the pleasure of spending the afternoon learning about their culture and traditions.
