Puerto Rico as I see it. The adventure of exploring, learning, enjoying and loving the Island of Enchantment, Puerto Rico. Truly, heaven on earth🌎
Back from Ecuador across the years, while in School learning history of the world or as a grown up watching the news, I got to imagine how Puerto Rico would be like, not just geographically, culturally or structurally but its essence as a country.
And what genuinely came to my mind was:
“Wow, this is an island of strong, determined people, that won’t ever give up.”
I don’t wanna write about catastrophes or natural disasters because to me what really matters is the way Puerto Ricans overcame every single bad circumstance together and I got to witnessed that.
I came to visit Puerto Rico and after the Miss World final day was over I stayed for a couple more days with my Mom, Dad, aunties, brother and sister in law, discovering new sceneries of Puerto Rico and God, there were just colors everywhere, history, incredible food, turquoise beaches that made you believe its water will heal you, people living in a party full of Bomba, Merengue or Reggaeton, full of love, life and family, not to mention, people were willing to invite us to that same party they were in, the party of enjoying that magical island as it is.
It’s inspiring, because I believe Puerto Rico’s success at recreating and rebuilding a country that once lost it all, is their faith, is the love they have for each other, the love they have for their home and they made it.
Puerto Rico is beautiful than ever, the difference is that now, they’re stronger.
